About Fireboy and Watergirl: Forest Temple
Fireboy and Watergirl: Forest Temple is where Oslo Albet's much-loved series began, and its central idea is still brilliantly simple. Two heroes made of opposite elements explore an overgrown temple in search of diamonds, but each one is vulnerable to the other's element: Fireboy can't touch water, and Watergirl can't touch fire. To reach the exits, they have to help each other with levers, buttons and moving platforms.
You can control both characters yourself, swapping between them as needed, or share a keyboard with a friend so each of you handles one hero. Playing together is where it really clicks, because every room becomes a negotiation about who stands on the switch and who runs ahead. Puzzles start gentle and grow trickier, and the urge to grab every diamond and finish faster gives you a reason to replay levels you've already solved.
How to play Fireboy and Watergirl: Forest Temple
- Move Fireboy and Watergirl through each level, keeping Fireboy out of water and Watergirl out of fire.
- Cooperate on levers, buttons and platforms; often one hero has to hold a switch so the other can pass.
- Collect diamonds along the way: red ones for Fireboy and blue ones for Watergirl.
- Get both characters to their exit doors to finish the level, then replay for a faster time.

Tips and tricks
- Green goo is deadly to both heroes, so treat it as off-limits for everyone.
- Before moving, note where both exits are and which switches open which doors; many rooms need one hero to wait while the other works.
- Use pushable boxes as stepping stones or as weights to keep a button pressed.
- Playing solo, move one character at a time in short bursts rather than trying to steer both at once.
