About Topping Match
Topping Match is a memory game played on a table of closed pizza boxes. Each box hides a hand-drawn topping, from pepperoni and mushrooms to jalapeño slices and anchovies. You open two boxes per move. If the toppings match, they stay open; if they don't, both lids close again after a moment, and you need to remember what you saw.
Pick Easy for 6 pairs, Medium for 8, or Hard for 12. The game counts your moves and times you from the first flip, pausing whenever you switch tabs. When the last pair is found, you earn one to three stars based on how efficiently you played, and your best result for each difficulty is saved on your device so you can try to beat it next time.
How to play Topping Match
- Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard on the start screen and press Play.
- Tap or click a pizza box to reveal its topping, then open a second box.
- Matching toppings stay face up; mismatches flip back after a short pause.
- Find every pair to finish the round and see your moves, time, and stars.

Tips and tricks
- Work through the board in rows so you know which boxes you have already seen.
- When a new topping shows up first in a move, try a box you remember before guessing an unknown one.
- Say the topping names in your head as you flip; a word sticks better than a picture.
- Stars depend on moves, not time, so a slow and careful round can still earn three.

How are stars awarded?
Stars are based on moves compared with the number of pairs. Finishing in about one and a half moves per pair earns three stars, and a little over two per pair earns two.
Is my best score saved?
Yes. Your fewest moves for each difficulty, with time as a tiebreaker, are stored in your browser on this device.
Does the timer keep running if I leave the tab?
No. The timer pauses while the tab is hidden and resumes when you come back.
